Gail Slaughter sent me this picture, but we don't know who took it... she sent it because my friend and companion Smokey looks just like this intrepid warrior... and Gail was the one who helped rescue him and bring him to me... thank you, Gail, from both of us!

I'm wondering if this photo was photoshopped and the eagle put in. I can't imagine a cat actually walking up so calmly to such a huge bird. When my cats saw turkeys (through the window), they went nuts. But face to face? I wonder what they would do!
Anything is possible in photo editing these days, but for my money, the shot is real. It is just the way such a confrontation would be. That's my definition of reality...if it walks like a duck, and it talks like a duck, why call it anything else? But maybe I'm just a gullible child....
